Made from aluminum, glass, and LED lighting, LiveWire is a permanent installation at The Switch in Slough, a growing center of technology just outside of London.

Commissioned by the building’s owners, the artwork acts as a focal point for the newly-configured communal working area and symbolizes the reinvention of the town as a home for tech start-ups and businesses.

The data-driven piece comes alive every fifteen minutes, displaying a myriad of dynamic patterns and colors that respond to the temperature outside. Viewers are also able to interact with the piece, influencing its behavior by tweeting #theswitchslough with their choice of color.

Interactive #tweetable wall

LiveWire responds to both time and temperature and encourages playful human interaction.
