LiveWire explores Slough’s evolving landscape and celebrates the UK’s exciting new relationship with data-driven technology.
Slough is a growing centre of technology just outside of London. LiveWire was conceived to symbolise the growth of Slough and celebrate the endless re-invention that comes as technology advances, and attract tech start-up companies as new tenants.
Made from aluminium, glass and LED, LiveWire is a permanent installation in the communal working space and meeting area of the space. The piece is designed to encourage interaction; People can change the behaviour and colour of the wall by tweeting #theswitchslough followed by a colour. The piece also comes alive every fifteen minutes to show off one of its many moving patterns, and incorporates colours in response to the outside temperature.
