Best of London

2013

When Generator Hostel decided to relaunch their flagship London property in King’s Cross, they came to us to manage the artwork scheme and wayfinding. We worked closely withToronto-based studio The Design Agency, who crafted a vision for the relaunch. The overall creative direction and design language for Generator London has an emphasis on a bold and exciting style that reflects the local spirit and culture of King’s Cross.

Our job was to add the creative details to bring the scheme to life. We used every possible space we could, from the ceilings and floors, to the toilet doors and mirrors, to each and every corridor.

This was a project of epic collaborations. We worked with Good Wives and Warriors to paint an illustration on every inch of an upright piano and an entire wall in the reception area. Their hand-painted unique style of graphics drew on London landmarks and provided bright splashes of colour.
