Perspective

Acrylicize Educational Outreach

We believe in the future, in the creative industries, in access to arts, in art outside the gallery, in making spaces into places, in a celebration of identity.

Our Mission

As a collective, we feel privileged to be a part of the creative industries; a global movement using imagination and innovation to drive meaningful societal and environmental change. But we know pursuing a career in the arts isn’t always easy.

With a general lack of understanding about the viability of creativity as a career path, many miss out on the chance to explore their potential as artists, creators, and makers. And this means a lack of diversity. Passionate about keeping art moving, and in a position to make a real impact, it’s our goal to improve access, increase diversity, and support emerging artists wherever we can.

We’re taking action in a number of ways. Through talks and mentoring at universities and schools, and partnerships with key organizations like intouniversity and D&AD New Blood, we’re helping students understand the opportunities available to them and how best to go about seizing them. Through our work experience and internships, we’re welcoming young creatives into our studio to work alongside us and gain real-world experience and exposure.

Work experience & internships

Our interns are valuable members of the team. Raw, energetic, enthusiastic, ambitious -- they’re excited about the possibilities and come to us with page after page of unfiltered ideas. We believe in their potential, and in spending the time to help train and shape them. It’s always been our way to build a team of exceptionally talented individuals, with an eclectic and diverse mix of skills and experiences. And we’re always open to meeting more.

Interested in working with us? Take a look at the opportunities and get in touch, we can’t wait to see what you can do.

Work Experience

You’ll usually join us for one or two weeks. During this time, you’ll attend team meetings and receive training and mentoring from members of the team. You’ll also get the chance to work on briefs set by us, giving you the opportunity to learn and develop in a safe and supportive environment.

Internships

As an intern, you’ll usually be with us for one to three months and be paid the London Living Wage. Our interns usually come from an arts background like graphic design, product design, fine art, and illustration, but we welcome passionate and talented people from other disciplines and backgrounds. During your time with us, you’ll become a fully integrated member of the team, working on varied projects across the business and receive mentoring and training.
